Show moreThe is the companion study to NCAR/TN-242 + STR on the annual precipitation cycle using daily precipitation data. Unlike the annual temperature cycle where a priority was known that solar forcing would be the dominant feature over the entire United States and Canada, the annual precipitation cycle enjoys no such clearly identified external forcing. The results of these two studies, while interesting in themselves, will allow climate modelers to compare their simulations of the annual temperature and precipitation cycles with those of actual stations.
