Show moreThe Data Analysis Services Group has developed an application, called VAPOR, to view large data sets in a hierarchical manner. Currently, the transformation to hierarchical wavelet space is done post-simulation by a serial process. I'm doing work to parallelize this task and build an API to allow the forward data transform to be carried out in situ during the simulation. This will allow researchers to avoid time-consuming post-processing and allow snapshots of data to be viewed while the simulation is taking place. Show less
